About Us

Music Theatre Scotland was founded in 2010 as a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity in Scotland governed by a Board of Trustees.  It is managed by a small executive team that will be enlarged as the Company develops.  Our mission is to support the development of musical theatre in Scotland through:

• Providing first class professional development opportunities in all aspects of the genre
• Utilising industry – experienced professionals to meet the needs of individuals and companies/associations
• Supporting new writing in Scotland
• Through our website, disseminating information, ideas, dialogue and networking opportunities
• Collaborating with other providers to get the best deal for all those committed to developing musical theatre
• Encouraging and assisting community based projects and widening participation
• Developing audiences, particularly for new Scottish work but also for work new to Scotland
